Multi-genre open-air festival Friends Fest is an event founded by small companies, associations and people who have had a positive experience with the USA and whose business or cultural activities are directly connected to the USA. Luckily, Pardubice happens to be the place all of this intersects.
Our goal is to create an informal, easy-going and friendly space for a gathering of people who love “their” America (or just some part of it) and who want to share their vision with others. It doesn’t matter if they adore new or old cars and bikes, whether they are interested in the rich military history of the USA, if they are interested specifically in the role of the USA in the liberation of our country in 1945, If they are huge fans of blues, country or rock’n’roll being performed by Czech bands and transatlantic stars, maybe they love the the world of western and the way horse mane flaps in the air, or maybe, once in a while, they just love to treat themselves with the delicious taste of true American dishes like burger and steak. America is a great country and everyone may find their own part of it.
I hope that you spend a lovely summer day or even the whole weekend here in Pardubice, and that on your way home, you will have brought a piece of "our", maybe a little idealized, but even more-so inspiring and alluring version of America with you.
